All the models come with a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, six airbags, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking.

The 2023 Kia Sorento is offered with two engine options, a petrol and a diesel. The entry-level 2.5 2WD 7-Seater variant is powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder MPi engine that delivers 177 horsepower and 232 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The entry-level variant is priced at RM211,498.

The next variant, the 2.5 AWD 6-Seater, also uses the same 2.5-liter engine, but with all-wheel drive, six seats arranged in a 2-2-2 formation, and captain chairs in the middle row. The AWD 6-Seater is priced at RM235,498. (*on the road price without insurance)

The range-topping 2.2D AWD 6-Seater comes with a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine borrowed from the Carnival MPV, which produces 199 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque from 1,750 to 2,750 rpm, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Additionally, the Sorento comes with Terrain Mode presets (snow, mud, sand) on AWD models, which can be selected via the Drive Mode knob located behind the traditional gear lever.

In terms of features, the dashboard of this car boasts a slew of impressive features, including a standard 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Even the lower-end variants offer a multi-info display and analogue dials in conjunction with the infotainment display, while the range-topping model takes it up a notch with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster display. Additionally, the top-of-the-line model comes equipped with a premium Bose surround-sound system, while all variants feature a convenient wireless charging pad situated at the base of the centre console.

The higher-spec six-seater variant adds 19-inch alloys, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Bose sound system, leather upholstery, rear window shades, and controls for the front passenger seat on its side, increasing convenience for the driver or rear passenger.

On the safety front, the 2023 Kia Sorento comes equipped with six airbags, DSC, hill start assist, Multi-Collision Brake, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking across all variants. Additionally, the car is covered by a five-year or 100,000 km warranty and service package, which includes labor, parts, and lubricants.
