Michelin has launched a collaboration with The Brands Masterpiece series from the Spring & Summer Collection of the UT T-shirt brand from UNIQLO Co Ltd. The Brands Masterpiece series is a brand-collaboration project that uses logos or notable products from some of the world’s most famous companies as motifs.

Michelin Man on your chest
In this collaboration, T-shirts featuring the Michelin Man will be sold at UNIQLO stores around Malaysia as well as via the UNIQLO Online Store, under license from Michelin Lifestyle Limited.

In Japan, the men’s size T-shirts were launched last week and will be followed by children’s sizes from March 18.

There will be two designs available in either blue or grey. Men’s sizes – priced at RM39.90 – are S/M/L/XL, with XS/XXL/3XL/4XL available from the online store only. Children’s sizes – priced at RM29.90 – are 110, 120, 130, 140, 150 and if you need 100 or 160, you have to order them from the online store.

World’s oldest trademark
Born in 1898, the Michelin Man – also known as Bibendum – turned 120 last year. The mascot for the tyremaker is recognized worldwide and is one of the oldest trademarks in the world.

Michelin also has an online route-planner known as ViaMichelin, besides its well known maps.

Michelin’s collaboration with UNIQLO is in line with its aim to offer products that support everybody’s mobility. Besides tyres, for which it’s best known, it also produces guidebooks, maps, an online route planner and lifestyle products, based on the idea of making travel more enjoyable and more comfortable, which has been the company’s ethos since its founding.
