The Nissan booth created by Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) for the KL International Motor Show 2013 (KLIMS13) was judged the Best Booth in the automobile category, scoring top marks for its concept and layout, customer engagement and the models that were displayed.
According to ETCM, the booth concept followed Nissan’s global design guidelines while being geared towards creating an ‘amphitheatre of experience’ and emphasizing its message of ‘Innovation that Excites’.
The layout, with its distinctive overhanging red halo, was inspired by the dynamic flow of energy with every part of the Nissan space designed to not only move people through the space, but also move them by simply being in the space.
At the Nissan booth, visitors were able to view the full range of vehicles powered by conventional engines, hybrid powertrains and even electric motors – all of which are sold by ETCM.
Also making their debut at the motorshow were the Nissan LEAF EV and the Nissan Almera with a NISMO Performance Package, the latter being a global premiere of the package developed by NISMO, Nissan’s high-performance division.
At the NISMO corner, two racing simulators were available for those wanting to experience what it’s like being behind the wheel of a Nissan racing car. A Nissan Navara with camping options was also a big hit with children who clambered up into its tree- house styled canopy tent (pictured above right).
Various fun and exciting activities were also carried out at the booth throughout the motor show catering to visitors of all ages. There were flash mob dance routines which came to life from within the crowds, as well as informative presentations by models who interacted with their audiences.

Public response to our showcase was extremely positive; in fact, we’ve had overwhelming response to the launch of the 100% Electric Nissan LEAF, with units already being snapped up by buyers. It affirms ETCM’s mission to continue to address the needs of Malaysians from all walks of life through ‘Innovation that Excites’,” said Tan Keng Meng, Director of Marketing and Product Planning at ETCM.
