Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd. (ETCM) has announced the prices and details of the all-new Nissan NP300 Navara. Bookings are not accepted for the model which will be launched sometime next month.
There are 6 variants available for the model which is imported in CBU form from Thailand. The estimated prices are as shown below:
Fitted with the 3rd Generation YD25DDTi turbodiesel engine which produces 190 ps/ 450 Nm (from 2000 rpm), the New Navara will be the most powerful pick-up in its segment. It also comes with a 7-speed automatic transmission with manual mode (first in class) for greater flexibility, a smoother feel at higher cruising speeds and improved fuel efficiency.
Other new features include a first-in-class all-new multi-link rear suspension and full LED headlamps with Daytime Running Lights.
“When we first introduced the D40 Navara with the tagline ‘Mother Trucker’ to the Malaysian market, it redefined the pick-up segment with its performance and driveability. Today, the All-New NP300 Navara will once again raise the bar with its dynamic driving performance, robust endurance, innovative design and advanced technologies, hence its tagline of ‘The Ultimate Pick-up,’” said Tan Keng Meng, Director of Product Planning and Marketing of ETCM.
The cabin equipment includes some features found in Nissan’s other premium models such as Zero Gravity Inspired Seats that help to reduce driver fatigue, and dual zone automatic air conditioning with rear vents.
Safety is heightened with the new Navara which comes with Active Brake Limited Slip to provide better grip on slippery roads and enhance the vehicle’s stability, Hill Start Assist, and Hill Descent Control. There’s ABS with EBD as well as traction control and ISOFIX points are also provided for compatible childseats.
