The new Honda Jazz Sport Hybrid along with the new City Sport Hybrid have certainly caught the attention of Malaysians (although any new Honda model would anyway). According to Honda Malaysia, bookings for the new models have passed 1,200 units, with the City Sport Hybrid accounting for the larger number (61%).
At launch time, the company said that it had set a monthly sales target of 150 units for the Jazz Sport Hybrid and 250 units for the City Sport Hybrid.
Despite the high number of bookings, Honda Malaysia gives assurance that the waiting period will not be longer than the 1 to 2 months which is a normal waiting period.
The high demand for the new models is attributed mainly to the sporty driving feel which is available without compromising on fuel efficiency or spaciousness. The improves hybrid technology is also a strong point and Malaysia is the only country to introduce the models with the Sport Hybrid i-DCD powertrain outside Japan. This is in line with Honda Malaysia’s strategy of offering more advanced technology to customers.
