If you have been wanting to buy a new Audi model, the coming months will be the best time to do so. This is because the Goods & Services Tax (GST) of 6% will no longer be charged and at least until sometime during the third quarter of 2018, there will also be no alternative tax charged. The Finance Ministry has indicated that a Sales & Service Tax will be re-introduced but has not given a date or percentage to be applied.

Audi Malaysia has recalculated the retail prices of its current line-up with GST excluded and has issued the pricelist below. When SST is applied, the prices will change to reflect the addition of the new tax.

As the zero-rating of GST applies to all goods and services, the company adds that there will also be a 6% reduction on the prices of the various packages that can be ordered with the vehicles (eg the Tech pack, the S line package, etc).

As before, all Audi models imported from their European factories and sold through authorised Audi dealerships in Malaysia will have a 5-year/unlimited mileage warranty and full aftersales support.
