Although Kuching is across the South China Sea, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) does not forget that there are many Mitsubishi vehicles owners there too. These owners also require professional aftersales support so their vehicles run well at all times and to ensure this, the company has introduced the Mitsubishi Mobile Service Unit to serve those living in the rural areas around the capital of Sarawak.
“As part of our Aftersales business expansion program, the Mitsubishi mobile service unit is to provide greater convenience and assurance for our customers living in rural areas in Sarawak that are far away from authorized Mitsubishi service centres. The Mitsubishi mobile service unit is capable of servicing up to 10 cars per day and will cover vehicle schedule maintenance, inspection of vehicle wear and tear, and timing belt replacement.” said Tomoyuki Shinnishi, CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia.
The mobile unit, a Triton, is equipped with a special Mitsubishi Multi-Use Tester Diagnostic Scanner, hydraulic jack with stand, air compressor and tool sets. It also carries spare parts such as filters and lubricants and a generator for power supply to operate tools.
The Mitsubishi Mobile Service Unit is operated by certified Mitsubishi authorized service dealers EON Auto Mart and Jimisar Autotrade in Kuching. They will travel far as 150 kms from Kuching to towns such as Sematan, Lundu, Bau, Serian and Simunjan.
“This is Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia’s first mobile service truck and customers shall see more of these mobile units in the near future as we are encouraging our authorized Mitsubishi dealers with fleet and rural customer base to embark on this effort to service our customers better,” added Mr. Shinnishi.

MMM is having a special promotion until the end of May 2018. During the promotion period, owners will be entitled to a special service package worth RM100 and get Genuine Mitsubishi Motors Semi-Synthetic Lubricant as well as a Value Selection Part oil filter (wherever applicable). There is also a 50% discount on labour costs for normal service work and a special parts discount applicable on selected parts.
