The Mercedes-Benz E-Class range in Malaysia has gained three new members in the form of the E 350 AMG Line, E 200 SPORTSTYLE Avantgarde and E 300 Exclusive Line. The E 350 AMG Line, in particular, brings to the range the new turbocharged 2-litre 4-cylinder powerplant with 299 ps/400 Nm.

Introducing the new E-Class range, Mark Raine, Vice-President, Sales and Marketing of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia said: “The E-Class is the core of the Mercedes-Benz brand and has gone through several stages of redefinition to continue carrying the wealth of top-class innovations, stylish highlights and an impeccable interior with high-value perception. As the vehicle of choice in the premium executive limousine segment, we are proud to now introduce the all-new Mercedes-Benz E 350 AMG Line to lead the E-Class range.”

E 350 AMG Line
The new E 350 with AMG line has the familiar brawny AMG bodystyling which adds a sporty touch to the sedan. But the sportiness is not superficial as the new 2-litre engine with twin-scroll turbochargers provides performance that justifies association with the AMG badge. With the addition of 150 Nm boost by the belt-driven starter generator, acceleration from 0 – 100 km/h can be done within 5.9 seconds, it is claimed.

New in this variant is the Driving Assistance Package which consists of several safety technologies which work together as well as independently to enhance safety. The car is also equipped with the DYNAMIC BODY CONTROL suspension with adjustable damping to give the driver a choice of sharper handling or better comfort.

E 200 SPORTSTYLE Avantgarde
The AVANTGARDE exterior brings to the car additional chrome trim in the front and rear bumpers, a badge on the front wing as well as visible tailpipe embellishers. 18-inch 5-spoke light-alloy wheels are standard.

On the inside, the SPORTSTYLE package consists of the headliner in black fabric, centre console in light carbon grain aluminium trim, sport pedals in brushed stainless steel with black rubber stuffs and the SPORTSTYLE package floormats. As part of the safety and assistance package, the Blind Spot Assist is a new feature.

E 300 Exclusive
This new variant has a more definitive and elegant look emphasising status with the classic Mercedes radiator grille and the iconic star on the bonnet. It also comes with a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine which produces 258 ps/370 Nm.

The E 300 Exclusive comes with a Lane Tracking package which includes the Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keeping Assist.

Estimated prices (without insurance) for the new E-Class variants are as follow:
