If you’re planning a holiday in Korea, Italy or New Zealand this year, you could get it paid for by Shell if you’re a winner in their latest promotion for 2019. Entitled simply ‘Win a Trip with Shell’, all you are required to do is make a purchase at any Shell station in Malaysia, fill out a contest form and if you are lucky, you could be one of the winners of a holiday package. There’s one winner for each week from now till March 31, 2019.

To participate, you need to spend a minimum of RM40 at a Shell station and while many may buy fuel, spending the same amount in the Kedai Shell/Shell Select stores also qualifies you. You can buy any products in the store, not just Shell products, acording to the statement from the company. So if you’re having a party, you could get RM40 worth of drinks or if you want to be a popular ‘uncle’ with your kids’ friends, buy RM40 of ice cream! The only items that are excluded are tobacco products, e-Pay products and Touch’NGo transactions.

Spend a minimum of RM40 at a Shell station in Malaysia and you qualify for participation in the contest. You can buy fuel or even RM40 worth of drinks or ice cream at the store (below).

According to the MD of Shell Malaysia Trading, Shairan Huzani Husain, the choice of the three countries was not randomly done. While planning the campaign, a study was done on where Malaysians like to go for their holidays and Italy, New Zealand and Korea topped the list.

The holiday packages for each country have different themes; the one for Italy, for example, will include a visit to the Ferrari factory and museum (and perhaps even a chance to drive a car). For New Zealand, winners will spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying the beautiful countryside while for Korea, there will be an immersion in the culture, traditional and modern.

Besides a chance to enter the contest, every purchase of RM40 also gets an instant reward at the station. To date, over 42,000 instant rewards have already been given out all over the country.
