Petaling Jaya, 26 May 2023 – Honda Malaysia is delighted to announce the commencement of the highly anticipated ‘GEN H Event,’ an immersive experience designed to celebrate and showcase the joy and fun of Honda’s advanced e:HEV technology. The event aims to provide Malaysians with the opportunity to understand and experience Honda’s hybrid technology, specifically the e:HEV technology featured in Honda’s lineup in Malaysia.
The ‘GEN H Event’ promises to be an exciting affair, featuring a range of activities that will captivate attendees. Visitors can enjoy thrilling fun fair rides, indulge in an arcade experience, take test drives of Honda’s e:HEV vehicles, participate in engaging workshops, explore a vibrant lifestyle food and beverage bazaar, and witness a graffiti art collaboration with local artists. Additionally, there will be an immersive area offering fun and interactive activities for all participants to enjoy. Honda Malaysia warmly invites Malaysians to “Experience Hybrid, the Honda way” at the location nearest to them, with free entrance for all.

Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Malaysia, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Honda Malaysia has been a pioneer in introducing hybrid technology to Malaysians for the past 19 years. We have continuously evolved our hybrid offerings, with the latest being the e:HEV, a two-motor hybrid system that provides powerful performance and efficiency while maintaining the fun-to-drive DNA of Honda.”
The introduction of the 1.5L e:HEV powertrain in the City in 2020, followed by its integration into the City Hatchback and HR-V in 2022, has garnered immense success, with over 2,800 units of City, more than 1,600 units of City Hatchback, and over 2,600 units of HR-V sold to date. Furthermore, in November 2022, Honda Malaysia unveiled the advanced 2.0L e:HEV powertrain in the Civic model, further elevating the C-Segment with its cutting-edge hybrid technology and features. To-date, close to 600 units of the Civic e:HEV have been sold.
Honda’s commitment to developing electric powertrains for electric vehicles, fuel cell vehicles, and hybrid vehicles spans over 30 years.
