Having a network of sales and service outlets in as many places as possible can make a difference to a company’s business. But it’s not a matter of just picking a place and having a showroom or service centre set up as there needs to be a study of the potential market and even when a decision is made, time is still needed for getting approvals from authorities and of course, construction of the facility.
Nevertheless, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has been doing its best to expand the network as fast as possible. Recently, it opened the first and only authorised Volkswagen 3S centre in Negeri Sembilan in the state capital of Seremban. The new facility is located at the Oakland Industrial area which is an automotive hub in Seremban.
The new 3S (sales, service and spare parts) centre is operated by HICOM Auto which also operates a Volkswagen 3S centre in Semenyih which is near the border between Negeri Sembilan and Selangor.
Built with an investment of RM1.5 million and covering over 24,735 sq ft, the Volkswagen Seremban 3S Centre showroom can display up to 8 models at one time and incorporates a guest lounge for customers to learn more about the vehicles or discuss their purchase. For those who are already owners, there a service centre with 13 bays which can handle up to 20 vehicles daily.
Besides delivering new vehicles to the customer’s home or office, if requested, there is also a ‘Pick Up & Drop Off’ service to owners who live within a 5-km radius of the service centre.
