Naza Kia Malaysia will be officially introducing the all-new Kia Picanto on January 10 (early February in East Malaysia) as its first model for 2018. While detailed specifications and pricing are not being revealed yet, the company is confident that this third generation of the model will be ‘the most versatile in its class with an untypically futuristic new design, safety enhancements and better performance with advanced technological value-added features’.

More luggage capacity and better space efficiency with foldable second row seats (60:40 split) is one of the improvements, increasing total cargo space to 1,010 litres. That means that more gear can be taken along on holiday trips.

To stay connected at all times, the new Picanto has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto offering seamless interfacing with popular smartphones. There’s a large ‘floating’ 7-inch touchscreen at the centre of the dashboard and with voice recognition capabilities, driving is easier and less stressful.

Safety has always been a strong point of Kia models sold in Malaysia and the latest Picanto is no exception. For this new generation, double the amount of Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) has been used compared to its predecessor. No less than 6 airbags are installed at the the front and sides to provide supplementary protection in the event of an accident.

We’ll tell you all about the new Picanto right after the launch this coming Wednesday so drop by at this website or be informed when the article is online by visiting our Facebook page.
