C2: Perodua’s next chapter in its EV journey

Kuala Lumpur, 11 June: Perodua unveiled the second chapter of its electric vehicle journey here at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026 (KLIMS 2026), which is inspired by Malaysia’s new generation of Alpha and Beta.

The latest concept car showcased by Perodua – named Chapter 2 or C2 – represents an entirely different styling direction; incorporating the latest technology; and created by our young and talented designers, which represent their vision of what the future of EV would look like.

“The C2 is part of our ongoing EV storyline. It expands our narrative of made by Malaysians for the world as we improve the future of mobility experience for our customers,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said.

The C2 is a B-segment prototype which has AI driving assist features, such as real-time navigation, charging station locations, traffic updates, enhanced anti-theft features and assisted parking.

“We have greatly integrated our P-Circle super app into this prototype so that our customers can access a world of convenience – from a secure e-wallet app to priority genuine parts delivery – the C2 represents the future in mobility integration,” Dato’ Sri Zainal said.

He added: “The C2 will be our basis for our future EV, and we are looking forward to engaging with visitors to our booth on their views and comments to ensure that our future product will exceed our customers’ expectations”.

The C2 represents a new phase of Perodua’s design language that is distinct from the car company’s earlier EM-O concept.

“We welcome all to visit Perodua’s booth at the KLIMS 2026 and engage with multiple attractions provided by the national car company, which include interactive robots, drones as well as a full display of P-Circle and its offerings,” Dato’ Sri Zainal said.
