Since being launched in November 2017, registrations of the third generation of the Perodua Myvi have averaged 1,560 units every week. This has brought the cumulative total to pass the 100,000-unit mark recently.
Orders for the Myvi have reached a cumulative total of 150,000 units, and Perodua continues to work hard to fulfill those orders as promptly as it can. The Myvi was Perodua’s best-selling model in 2018, accounting for 36% of the 227,243 vehicles delivered by the Malaysian carmaker.
“The Perodua Myvi is by far the most successful model in our history. The original Myvi launched in 2005 into a market then dominated by sedans. “By 2013, it had overtaken the Kancil’s all-time sales (708,000 units from 1994 to 2009) and to date, we have sold nearly 1.1 million Myvis altogether,” said Dato’ Dr Zahari Husin, MD of Perodua Sales Sdn. Bhd.
He added that customer feedback has been largely positive, with many of them liking the latest stylish looks of the hatchback, as well as its practicality, ease to drive, and generous space despite its compact size. Its running costs are also low and it comes with some advanced features usually only found in more expensive cars.
