Considering the massive amount of 2004 and up
Mercedes's equipped with 722.9 7G-Tronic
transmission TCM failures, we perfected a REPAIR
KIT that will completely restore your TCM for
these known problems.
722.9 transmission was offered starting in :
- as an option in new SLK (R171 - 09/04)
- standard equipment for new M Class (W164 -
- standard equipment for new R Class (W251 -
- standard equipment for new G Class (X164 -
- standard equipment on CLS 350 / 500 (late 2004)
- standard equipment on E350 (starting from late
We will install the REPAIR KIT, make necessary
repairs on the circuit board, perform a final test
on repairs done and return it to you.
No additional programming is required.
IMPORTANT: After installation history trouble
code/s recorded must be erased using original STAR
tester or equivalent.
Please ignore the handling time stated in the
shipping details. We have customers all over the
world and have to account for the amount of time
it may take for their modules to arrive at our
repair shop. Actual repair time is 1-2 business
days from the time we receive your module.
Not all modules are repairable, and unfortunately,
some of them damaged beyond the repair point.
Please, send your original TCM, do not send
"replacement" or "salvage
yard" units, they do require SCN coding.
Do not send the Valve Body itself, doing so will
increase return shipping cost.
This is your mechanic's responsibility to
pinpoint the problem in the Transmission Control
We do not diagnose the problem over the phone!
