Pantai Bharu Corporation Sdn Bhd, which has been in the auto business for over 30 years, has opened a new Proton 3S (sales, service and spare parts) outlet in Klang, Selangor. The new outlet, located along the Jalan Kapar, brings together on one site the different services the company offered which were located in different places.
Besides a spacious showroom for displays of Proton models, there is an adjacent service centre with 12 service bays. With Jalan Kapar being a busy main road in Klang, customers need not worry about finding a parking space as there are 70 bays within the compound of the dealership.
Other facilities include 3 delivery bays for customers to receive their brand new vehicles comfortably as well as waiting areas with amenities that include free wifi. Parents who bring their children along need not worry about keeping them occupies as there is a play area for them.
“In order to succeed, we need to move with times and stay relevant. The market is fluid, what works today, may not work tomorrow. So the intention to relocate to a new area to provide better customer experience is inevitable. The new area will provide convenience to customers as a one-stop centre for sales, service and spare parts,” said Dato’ Shamshudin Nor, the owner of Pantai Bharu.
He said that although there are dealerships of other brands along Jalan Kapar, he is not afraid of the competition and, in fact, welcomes it. “The locality will, in fact, serve as a point for consumers to shop around easily as they would be able to hop from one showroom to another to check out the best deals,” he said.
“We are positive that with the new and fresh looking façade, better lighting and ambience for interior and exterior, we will be able to attract more customers to our showroom, hence this will definitely push our sales and service level upwards. We foresee a 100% increase in sales and service throughput with the inception of this outlet upgrade,” Dato’ Shamshudin predicted.
Pantai Bharu’s initiative to upgrade to a 3S outlet which consolidates its business activities in one location is in line with Proton’s expectations. The carmaker said that by the end of June, 87 outlets were ready for upgrade to 3S and 4S status, ahead of its scheduled time by 2 months.
The upgrading is considered an urgent development to prepare the sales network for the introduction of the company’s first SUV later in 2018. With this new model, Proton aims to also give customers a much better experience in all respects.
