Evolution is a strange thing, not only does it have to make something better, but when it comes to satisfying a want, it has to make it more desirable as well. Take the latest Mini for example, contrary to its name, the Mini is bigger than it has ever been and for a good reason. It can now fit four comfortably and their luggage as well. It is also quicker and that bigger overall size means that the car doesn’t struggle to put down its power, which makes it a lot more fun in corners.

Speaking of power and evolution, on the other end of the market spectrum is the god-like Koenigsegg One:1 (cool car, weird name). It’s supposed to be the new fastest car in the world and it charges to 400km/h in just 20 seconds! I’m not sure how that would feel like, but I’m sure you could take off at that speed. It’s amazing how far cars have evolved, but that just begs the question, what’s next?

At over 400km/h, tyres will start to shred, fuel will disappear quicker than you can possibly imagine, and the laws of physics are pushed to the very edges of logic. And logic dictates that when speed runs out of road, it takes to the skies. So it will be interesting to see what evolution does next. Meanwhile, have a pleasant read, and yes the new Mini is worth waiting for. I hear it will be launched next month.
