Popular car site Autoblog posted about the persistent rumor of the 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 appearing at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2009. Little is known about the 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 including how different it will be from the 2010 Mazda 3 and whether the second generation Mazdaspeed 3 will keep its 2.3L powerplant or move up on the ladder and use a boosted version of the 2010 Mazda 3’s 2.5L four cylinder.
The Geneva Motor Show would be a fitting debut for the 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 as the 2007 Mazdaspeed 3/MPS premiered there in 2006.

If you received the run around on the delivery date of your 2010 Mazda 3 then worry no more. A recent Ward’s Auto (subscription required) article points to March 2009 as the official launch of the 2010 Mazda 3 in the United States with dealer delivery expected shortly thereafter.

Japan not yet, most probably another two months. Even the 2nd generation Mazda6, Japan was not the first country to launch, Taiwan was the one.
