90 finalists of the BHPetrol’s 'Race Ace 2’ Go-Kart Challenge battled it out last weekend at the Genting Outdoor Theme Park to determine the Go-Kart Champion of the series and the racing was indeed exciting. The 90 finalists from around Malaysia had qualified after participating in three heats earlier in the year.

For Heat 1 alone, the event (held at the Shah Alam Stadium Go-Kart track in Selangor) saw the participation of no less than 860 racing hopefuls – a record in Malaysian go-karting history! As for Heat 2 in Danga Bay, Johor Bahru, more than 600 participants took part while Heat 3 in Autocity, Juru, Penang, had some 450 participants. Thus the Challenge can be considered a record in itself too with almost 2,000 people having taken part.

The 90 finalists were eager to win the Grand Prize of RM30,000, 2nd Prize of RM20,000, 3rd Prize of RM10,000 and other attractive prizes. The BHPetrol.iru1 Racing Team drivers were present to observe and identify young go-karting talents whom the team could into future racing champions.

BHPetrol's 'Race Ace 2' Go-Kart Challenge included a carnival as well, with a host of exciting games and activities for the entire family. Lots of freebies and prizes were given away, courtesy of BHPetrol and sponsors involved in the event.
