Aiming to increase its retail network, Sime Darby Auto Connexion has appointed of four new Ford dealers in Peninsular Malaysia, all of which have '3S’ facilities offering sales, service and spare parts.

At the same time, Auto ConneXion will also be extending the operating hours of its service centres nationwide as part of its continuous aftersales service enhancement program to offer greater customer convenience.  Auto ConneXion’s Land Rover and Alfa Romeo service centres at Section 13 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, will now be open for business on Saturdays from 8.00 am till 12.30 pm. Beginning July 5, 2009, a total of eight Auto ConneXion Ford service centres will also open on Saturdays from 8.00 pm till 12.30 pm.

“The move clearly demonstrates our customer-centric approach as it will clearly benefit our customers, many of whom are simply too busy and find it a hassle to come in on a weekday,” said Dato’ Lawrence Lee, Executive Vice-President of Sime Darby Motors Division.

Auto ConneXion has had an aggressive marketing campaign to reach out to its customers. The campaign kicked off with a 5-month Auto ConneXion Rewards aftersales campaign that featured attractive discounts on spare parts, lifestyle merchandise and service.

Established in April 2008, Auto ConneXion has emerged as an active player in the Malaysian market by introducing a stream of new products from the marques in its stable, with more new models coming in the next few months. These include the new Ford Mondeo and Alfa Romeo Mito.
