HICOM-Chevrolet’s network recently saw the addition of another dealership with the official opening of Kumpulan Syarikat Pantai Bharu Sdn Bhd in Klang, Selangor. This raises the number of 3S (sales, service and spares) Chevrolet centres to a total of five, with a sixth one soon to be opened in Bangi, also in Selangor. By the of end of 2008, HICOM-Chevrolet aims to have at least 15 3S Chevrolet outlets across the country.
Besides Klang, there are also Chevrolet outlets in Penang, Johor Bahru and Melaka, with the flagship facility located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Speaking at the opening, Yukontorn Wisadkosin, CEO of HICOM-Chevrolet (a joint-venture company between DRB-HICOM and GM), said the event ‘clearly demonstrates Chevrolet’s commitment and promise of convenience to our customers’.
“Our new mantra, “Chevrolution” is emphasized and carried through in all that we do, and it is focused on the buyer. We promise to bring the renowned Chevrolet quality and value. At any one of our 3S Dealerships, Chevrolet customers can expect quality service at every step of the way, from sales to service and spare parts – all under one roof. Indeed, all our service Centres will be nothing less than a 3S Centre,” said Ms Wisadkosin.
HICOM-Chevrolet provides specialized training to all service staff at Pantai Bharu as well as all other dealerships, ensuring that every customer receives quality service from trained personnel.

During the launch, Ms Wisadkosin also announced that, in a few weeks time Chevrolet spare parts will be priced lower. The price reduction will range from 20% to as much as 60%.
“With the strong backing of General Motors, the manufacturer of Chevrolet cars, we are now able to tap directly into GM’s wealth of resources. By providing us direct access to suppliers around the region, we can now stabilize and lower the cost of spare parts for Chevrolet cars,” she said.
