Until the end of June 2008, it will be a great time for Volvo owners to upgrade their car. Volvo Car Malaysia (VCM) us having its ‘Volvo Value Buys’ promotion on selected accessories and alloy rims.

For starters, those who buy the Volvo Navigation System (VNS) will also get a Parking Assistance Camera (PAC) worth RM1,850 absolutely at no extra charge. The PAC is a great accessory to have as it aids parking during reversing into a bay.

Using a tiny camera mounted in the bootlid or tailgate, the display on the VNS screen gives clear view of the back whenever reverse gear is engaged. Lines on the screen provide a guide so that the car can be positioned precisely and once the driver is used to this guide, it will be possible to park confidently without bumping into anything.

The PAC is also useful for safety as it will enable the driver to spot a little child (or animal) behind the car which may not be visible in the mirrors.

As for the VNS, which is integrated on the dashboard, this is a valuable ‘co-driver’ which can guide drivers to destinations in many parts of Peninsula Malaysia. Besides a map display, there are also audible instructions available which will alert the driver to a turn to take up ahead.

VCM is also offering a 20% discount on various accessories such as bodykits, spoilers, mouldings and so on.
