In collaboration with Bosch, Goodyear Malaysia recently launched its first Goodyear Autocare store. The launch also marked Goodyear’s collaboration with Shell and together with Bosch, customers will be able to get a complete range of specialised tyre and automotive services at the one-stop centre.

All Goodyear Autocare stores will be equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment and specialised tools to service both Asian and continental cars.  In addition, customers who walk into any Goodyear Autocare store can also receive a complimentary 22-point check on their vehicles.

The opening of the Goodyear Autocare store at KS Tyre (Pandan Indah) Sdn Bhd marks the beginning of a new retail format for Goodyear in Malaysia as well as in ASEAN. Goodyear Autocare here is an adaptation of the retail format introduced in Australia two years ago which was recently acknowledged by a magazine as one of the top eight business prospects. 

In Malaysia, it is an evolution of the company’s current Servitekar network. With 265 outlets nationwide, Goodyear Servitekar is the most extensive tyre care retail network in the country. The plan is to convert all Servitekar outlets into Goodyear Autocare stores eventually.

“30 years ago, Goodyear revolutionized the tyre care industry in Malaysia with the introduction of the Goodyear Servitekar concept. Now we are taking this to the next level as consumers are becoming more discerning in the maintenance of their vehicles. As such, there is a need for us to continue to take the lead to provide the best service possible to them. Previously, consumers need to send their vehicles to different shops to service the engine, change the tyres and fix their air-conditioning units.  Now, they can do it all in one place.  In short, we are offering a one-stop total carcare centre,” said Tuan Haji Zakariah Ahmad, Managing Director of Goodyear Malaysia.

“We believe that new retail format will not only reinforce Goodyear’s position as the leader in the tyre industry, but in complete auto care as well,” Tuan Haji Zakariah affirmed. “Goodyear Autocare is set to deliver first-class tyre and automotive services, thus ensuring that vehicles will always leave our outlets in top-notch condition.”
