Following the announcement of the Peugeot franchise takeover on January 2 2008, Nasim Sdn Bhd (NSB) has quickly moved ahead to ensure that Peugeot owners in Malaysia have no disruption in after-sales support services by opening the new Peugeot Blue Box in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, Selangor, this morning.
The first Peugeot Blue Box (in essence a specialized brand centre which encompasses sales, service and spare parts) of the new official importer and distributor of Peugeot automobiles in Malaysia was refurbished at a total cost of more than RM2 million. The new facility is equipped to handle all Peugeot models and has 11 service bays out of which four are fast service bays. At this time, there are no less than 11 trained technicians at the facility.
The Peugeot Blue Box is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art Peugeot Planet System diagnostic equipment which uses the Internet link to a 24-hour call centre that is able to 'communicate' with Peugeot vehicles when plugged in to analyze and look into problems that may occur.
NSB also assures all Peugeot owners of availability of spare parts and proof of this is in the RM3 million worth of spare parts already stocked in its main parts warehouse. To start off, NSB has announced that parts prices are being reduced by up to 20%. Besides the Peugeot Blue Box at Glenmarie, there are also 21 service centres nationwide that can provide after-sales services for the 206 Bestari and 12 of them are fully equipped to handle the full range of Peugeot vehicles.
