Latest BMW X5 which is Mr Tan's choice for his 'Dream Drive'... with Michelin Latitude tyres on it, of course

The ‘dream SUV’ Mr Tan has chosen is the latest BMW X5 which he will use to drive to Cameron Highlands where he will spend Chinese New Year with his family. Naturally, the BMW will have Michelin Latitude tyres fitted.

“I have always been a fan of Michelin tyres because of their excellent quality. The long and winding roads leading up to Cameron Highlands will be the perfect test for the Latitude tyres,” he said.
 
Ten monthly winners in August and September, respectively, also won limited Michelin Touch ‘n Go cards with a pre-loaded value of RM50.

Organised by Michelin Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the nationwide online contest was held from July 2 to September 30 2007. The contest required participants to answer three simple questions and express their idea of a Malaysian ‘Dream Drive’ experience. Mr. Tan’s winning depiction of a Malaysian dream drive was "Cameron Highlands – the combination of curves and narrow roads demands a good handling car and excellent tyres, makes for a demanding drive up to the Highlands”.

Michelin Latitude tyres have been specially developed to meet the demanding needs of SUVs. According to Michelin Malaysia Sdn Bhd Managing Director Yves Pouliquen, the word ‘Latitude’ evokes ‘a sense of freedom and adventure which is perfectly aligned to meet the needs of SUV drivers who are often looking to expand driving horizons with fun and exciting journeys throughout the country’.

“Michelin Latitude tyres are built with the latest technologies and incorporate the features and performance Michelin is famed for. It allows this lucky winner to personally experience the tyres’ heightened safety features while achieving better mileage whether travelling on or off-road,” said Mr Pouliquen.

The Latitude range, comprising the Tour HP and Sport versions, has been available in the Malaysia since May 2007.
