Mercedes-Benz is the ‘Official Car’ for this year’s Kuala Lumpur International Gourmet Festival (KLIGF) which will be on from November 11 – December 8 2005. During this period, Mercedes-Benz owners will also receive complimentary valet parking and additional privileges at some of the hotels in town which are participants in the Festival.
“For years, Mercedes-Benz has been providing a feast for the senses. Sumptuous dining and luxury driving are complementary pleasures for the privileged few. The striving for a perfect blend of forms and materials to produce and irresistible whole is one of Mercedes-Benz's passion for the pursuit of excellence. Along the same lines, the KLIGF has become a gastronomic icon, promoting the pinnacle of various Masterchefs' involvement. That is why Mercedes-Benz is a patron of events as such,” said Dato’ Frank Steinleitner, President and CEO of DaimlerChrysler Malaysia.
Living its mission to continue to reinforce the position of Kuala Lumpur as a global centre for culinary excellence, the KLIGF 2005 will promote and showcase its participating restaurants as the city’s finest dining establishments. In total, there will be 23 participants of Kuala Lumpur’s grandest and top restaurants, offering guests and epicureans a fantastic gastronomic experience.
“I am certainly looking forward to this epicurean delights’ event and working up a healthy appetite for the plethora and exciting interplay of gorgeous and colourful presentations which will be presented during the Festival,” added Dato’ Steinleitner.
This time around, the KLIGF 2005 will combine a spectacular gastronomical blend of French, Swiss, Japanese, Indochinese, Italian, Arabian, Chinese, Thai and Pan-Asian cuisines. With the eclectic blend of local and international cuisines, the Festival aims to put Kuala Lumpur on the map of the international dining scene.
