Looking for a job? There are over 165,000 vacancies being offered at the Human Resources Ministry online service. The jobs available are for middle and top management posts, factory operators and general workers with salaries ranging from RM700 to RM4,000 a month.
Deputy Human Resources Minister Datuk Maznah Mazlan said that 110,000 job seekers who were registered had gained employment last year.
“This year alone, 30,000 people obtained jobs through the portal while there are still 165,178 jobs available. This shows that the system, as well as other schemes introduced by the ministry, has been effective in finding suitable jobs for the job seekers,” she said.
Datuk Maznah advised job seekers, especially degree-holders, not to be too choosy and grab any opportunity even if it did not match their qualifications. “Stop making excuses. The most important thing is to gain experience,” she advised.
