Panasonic’s VIERA 3D Full HD Plasma TV

Panasonic Malaysia Sdn Bhd has launched two models of the VIERA series in the 3D Full HD plasma television (TV) segment, the 50-inch and 65-inch, which promise to bring "superior 3D depth and realism" into the living room.

The TH-P50VT20K (50-inch) unit is priced at RM14,999 while the TH-P65VT20K (65-inch) costs RM23,999. Both come with a pair of 3D eyewear worth RM699.

Panasonic 3D TV’s advanced features include five million-to-one contrast ratio, high speed 3D drive technology and Crosstalk reduction technology, which produces high picture quality in both 2D and 3D.

Images displayed on the new 3D TV give viewers a more “real” experience with more depth and sharper, crisper images displayed at 1/120 per second, which is twice as fast as the conventional full HD images.

Panasonic Malaysia deputy managing director Chris Tomachi is confident of its 3D TVs giving outstanding performance.

“Firstly, we provide end-to-end solution for 3D. We have equipment such as the professional camcorder, mixers and others; we have the whole package, and we have the experience,” he said, adding that the company has been collaborating with Hollywood for a long time on 3D works via Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory.

“Secondly, Panasonic provides the best picture quality with technology such as Blacker Black Panel. Panasonic supports software development in Malaysia and is working on a plan to expand the 3D market here.

“Thirdly, our customers are in for a treat as Panasonic’s 3D offerings are in essence an integrated solution to various entertainment facets or should I put it as a bundle of enjoyment?”
