New benefits for 2,100 Perodua Sales employees

Some 2,100 non-executive staff of Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd (PSSB) will enjoy new benefits following the signing of the 2011-2013 Collective Agreement (CA) between PSSB and its employees union recently. The new CA also provides for the majority of the 2,100 employees to enjoy salary increments and adjustments ranging from 8% to 10%/.
 
General Managers from Human Resource and Training (Mariam Ibrahim, Parts Operations (Norhammidi Hashim) and Service and Technical Support (Zainal Omar) signed on behalf of the company, while the union was represented by its President Azhar Ramzah Noordin, Vice-President Jamal Abdul Nasir Abdullah and Secretary  Norapizah Abdul Aziz. Department of Industrial Relations Selangor Director Paeza Rosdi and Perodua Managing Director Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh witnessed the signing ceremony which was held at a hotel.
 
Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh, in his speech, lauded the management and union for the quick conclusion of the collective bargaining negotiations. “They reached the agreement in four discussion sessions within 2 months,” he said.
 
“The company appreciates the contribution of every Perodua staff that enabled us to become Number 1 in sales and I hope they will continue to improve their productivity,” he said, urging the staff to embrace new changes and work culture that will be introduced by the company in the coming months as preparation for the market liberalisation. 
 
Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh also thanked the Government for its support and assistance that enabled Perodua to become the Number 1 car company in terms of sales in Malaysia.
