New Ford 3S dealer in Sibu

Sime Darby Auto Connexion Sdn Bhd has appointed Sibu Ngu Brothers Motor Service Sdn. Bhd. as its new Ford Sales, Spare Parts and Service (3S) Dealer in Sibu, further expanding its network in the growing Sarawak market.

The 3S centre, located in Jalan Lanang, was recently officially opened by Mohd Hazem Abd Rahman, Managing Director of Sime Darby Auto ConneXion, which manages the Ford brand in Malaysia.

Encik Mohd Hazem said Sibu Ngu Brothers was chosen because of its extensive 32-year experience in automotive sales and service in the Sibu market which will benefit Ford customers.

“We are encouraged by their confidence in the Ford brand and this is evident through their investment in the facility,” he said, adding that Sibu Ngu Brothers also plans to open a similar facility in Bintulu by the end of the year, signifying its further commitment towards the Ford brand.

In conjunction with the opening of the new 3S Centre in Sibu, Auto Connexion also unveiled its latest Ford Ranger offering, the Ford Ranger XL 4x2, which is priced at RM66,000 in East Malaysia. The Ranger XL 4x2, powered by Ford’s proven Turbo Diesel with Intercooler engine, churns out 109 ps of power and 330 Nm of torque. East Malaysia is the most dominant pick-up market in Malaysia, hence Auto ConneXion’s decision to supply the market with more pick-up options to accommodate all range of demands.

Meanwhile, the sharing of resources and consolidation of back-end operations will enable Auto ConneXion branches nationwide to sell and support the Ford models alongside other marques in its stable, such as Alfa Romeo and Land Rover, even in smaller markets such as Sabah and Sarawak. Previously, to set up dedicated branches would have entailed a high capital investment which was not feasible for a niche premium brand like Alfa Romeo or Land Rover.
