New Exora MPV propelled Proton ahead of Perodua for the first time in 40 months

Toyota Vios is best-selling non-national model but sales of new Honda City have also been impressive

 

Excludes commercial vehicles such as buses, lorries, panel vans and prime movers

In spite of the market downturn, sales of luxury models have not decreased significantly

The Proton Exora will lead the MPV segment this year but watch the fight between the Nissan Grand Livina and Toyota Avanza

Even with just one model to sell, Isuzu manages to stay in the Top 10

The MAA has revised its 2009 forecast upwards to 500,000 units, almost matching that of Frost & Sullivan which offered their forecast in January
