Like other Japanese automakers, Nissan has also put its global manufacturing hub for pick-ups in Thailand. The Nissan plant there, with a current annual production capacity of 140,000 units, has begun exporting the Navara to some 120 countries worldwide

At  the Thailand International Motor Expo 2007 which opened in Bangkok today, Proton gave the facelifted Gen2 with an enhanced CAMPRO CPS engine its World Debut. Prices for the new Gen2 and Satria Neo in Thailand are set at between 499,000 - 549,000 baht (RM54,562 - RM60,029). The Savvy was also on display and priced at 399,000 baht (RM43,627).

After VVT-i comes Valvematic, a new variable valve lift mechanism developed by Toyota claimed to improve petrol engine efficiency by 5% ~ 15%. The new mechanism, announced in Japan yesterday, combines VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing-intelligent) with a new mechanism that continuously controls the intake valve lift volume.
