Few Malaysians would know of SINOPEC but it is the largest petroleum and chemical enterprise in China and said to rank 23rd in the world’s top 500 enterprises. The company has been a supplier of lubricants to China’s aerospace industry for nearly 50 years and its lubricants are also used in China’s space program.
As a specialist in lubricants, it’s not surprising that SINOPEC also produces consumer lubricants for motorists and claims superiority in performance of its products which have been developed with the knowledge and experience used in developing lubricants for use in spacecraft and the extremes of space.
Claiming to have become one of the leading lubricant brands in Asia, SINOPEC is now producing its lubricants in Singapore, from which it will export its products to other countries in the region, including Malaysia.
Consumer products sold under the Great Wall brand include SAE 10W/40 engine oil for motor vehicles which is claimed to meet API SL/CF service standards as well as engine oil for vehicle running in gas/lpg and diesel (SAE 15W/40).
