Custom bike building isn’t an easy art, after coming in 13th last year, Freddie ‘Krugger’ Bertrand with his V-Rod engine custom bike clinched this year’s AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building.

Using a unique electronically adjustable frame system developed by the bike’s owner Peer Toftner together with Dutch designer Mark van der Kwaak, the bike is able to shift between sports bike mode and low-riding cruiser at the flick of a switch.

The bike even comes with two different sets of foot controls to match each style of riding.

The championship saw some pretty offbeat and daring creations such as Yuri Shif, a builder from Belarus with his supercharged twin BMW boxer engine bike inspired by the race bikes of the 1930s.

Shif’s effort didn’t go unrewarded however as he finished in third place.
