Carefree BMW ownership

06 July 2011 00:00:00
The luxury car market is one of the most competitive segments in the industry, growing year by year. 2010 especially saw a significant pick-up in that end of the market, with healthy sales volumes increase across the board. BMW in particular posted some record numbers, selling 4006 vehicles over the course of the year.

One thing that makes BMW stand out in such a tightly contested market segment, apart from its excellent models and brand image of course, is its BMW Service + Repair Inclusive programme. BMW were in fact the first company to introduce such an extensive service programme. It is now considered an industry standard in the lower market segments, but is still rare in the higher echelons of motoring.

With the said programme, all new BMW vehicles (except for M models) purchased from a BMW authorised service centre is covered in terms of cost for servicing, maintenance, and wear and tear for a period of three years from the date of registration or the first 60,000km, whichever comes first. In essence, buy yourself a brand new BMW now and for the first three years of ownership; all you have to spend on are tyres and fuel.

All regular wear and tear repairs or replacements including engine oil changes (not including unscheduled top ups), service/replacement of air filters, micro filters, spark plugs and brake fluid, brake pads (front and rear), brake discs (front and rear), clutch (as part of a routine maintenance job, and not as and when the customer demands it), as well as all standard vehicle checks as per the BMW Service Booklet are covered under the premium service programme, giving new owners absolute peace of mind while offering unrivalled value for money.

The benefits are also transferable in case the vehicle is sold within the validity period of the programme, where subsequent owners are then entitled to the service until it expires.
